Red Cross Volunteers
Helping Make the Season Bright
You can see the hustle and bustle of the Holidays here at the Chapter. In addition to our daily services, volunteers and staff have been busy with many community projects to help make the season brighter for those less fortunate. Following are a few examples:
Holiday Gift Run - Emergency Services
Families that have recently experienced devastating house fires are invited to participate in our Red Cross Holiday Gift Program. Parents provide us with a wish list for their children and these gifts are delivered door to door by Santa and his Elves (Disaster Relief Volunteers, many of whom were the responders at these fires). This year, the New Jersey Physician Assistants Foundation and employees at Wilkin and Guttenplan, P.C. were very generous and helped fill the sleigh with toys. We’d also like to thank Rutgers Recreation, who donated stuffed toys from participants in their The Big Chill 5K race held in early December and STARR 99.1 FM listeners for their teddy bear donations. All of these toys will help bring smiles to many children in our community this Holiday Season. SEE More...
Wish Trees and Gifts - Home Delivered Meals Program
Our homebound and elderly clients are receiving a bit of Holiday cheer along with their meals. Gifts provided by generous donations from employees at Munich Reinsurance America Inc. and employees of Novo Nordisk’s Commercial Effectiveness department were delivered along with our meals. Clients will also enjoy the beautiful Holiday arrangements put together by the Garden Club of Princeton. SEE More...
Holidays With The Troops – Service to the Armed Forces
Many community members and groups have been participating in our Adopt A Unit campaign and adding special Holiday greetings for these comforts of home packages. SEE More...
Hightstown High School Red Cross Club Holiday Party
This Red Cross Club held their annual Holiday Party for neighborhood children who are less fortunate. Children and parents from many area families were treated to games, food, songs from the choir, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus and special holiday gifts from the Giving Tree donated by club members.

Every little good thing you do
can make a big difference
in someone’s life…
