Noah's Ark Humanitarian Projects

	The American Red Cross applauds all of these amazing students and their wonderful teachers for turning their compassion into action!     Pictured are the amazing students and teachers at Noah’s Ark Preschool in Highland Park who undertook two fundraising projects to help people devastated by disasters.
Ms. Jo-Ann and Ms. Ernestine, teachers at Noah’s Ark Preschool in Highland Park, talked briefly with their young students about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and about how many children there had lost their schools. Noah’s Ark students started a collection of coins to help the children of Japan. They filled a large water container to the top, and each day the children would put collected coins into the container. The water would rise out of the container simulating the flood waters going down in Japan. This project collected $306.35 for Red Cross Disaster Relief efforts in Japan.
Shocked by the devastation caused by tornadoes that tore through towns leaving nothing in their paths, Noah’s Ark started another project to help. Since the Spring tornadoes had made a path of destruction, the students taped donated dollars together to create a trail of reconstruction around the classrooms and help those affected to rebuild their lives. This project collected $213.00 to assist American Red Cross Disaster Relief efforts to those affected by the tornadoes.
