American Red Cross Offers Shelter in Pittstown

PRINCETON, NJ – January 30, 2008 – Power outages in the town of Pittstown, NJ have left approximately 600 homes without power this evening, affecting anywhere from 1,500 to 2,000 residents. To assist, the American Red Cross of Central New Jersey has opened a shelter at the Pittstown Municipal Center to provide warm lodging for those without power.

Pittstown Municpal Center, 202 Sydney Road (CR 617) in Pittstown, NJ

The Central New Jersey chapter, which services Mercer, Middlesex, Hunterdon, and parts of Somerset counties, has volunteers at the shelter to assist residents with their immediate needs until they are able to return to thier homes.
