Fundraising dancers earn community service hours, enjoy free food and the chance to win prizes donated by generous area businesses.

American Red Cross of Central New Jersey Youth Services integrates young people of all ages into the delivery of Red Cross services. Through involvement with area Red Cross Clubs, students develop leadership skills and an appreciation for giving back to their communities. The Central New Jersey Red Cross Chapter has more than 1,400 Red Cross Club members in high schools throughout Mercer, Middlesex, Hunterdon and Somerset counties. Elected representatives from the various Red Cross Clubs serve on the Youth Council.
About the American Red Cross of Central New Jersey (www.njredcross.org)
The Central New Jersey Chapter serves the people of Mercer, Middlesex, Hunterdon, and parts of Somerset counties, helping our community prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Last year, 2,244 volunteers, 1,437 high school Red Cross Club members, and 20 full- or part-time employees assisted 188 families (577 individuals with shelter, food and/or clothing) after 95 disasters (mostly house fires) displaced them from their homes; trained 52,319 residents with First Aid, CPR or other lifesaving skills; delivered 48,777 nutritious meals to homebound and elderly; and provided care and support to 211 military families. Central New Jersey residents donated 13,412 pints of blood through the American Red Princeton Blood Donor Center or American Red Cross blood drives throughout our service area. The Red Cross is not a government agency; it relies on donations of time, money, and blood to do its work. For more information on the programs and services of the Red Cross, and to learn how you can get involved, visit www.njredcross.org or call 609-951-8550.
