Red Cross Dance-A-Thon Saturday, 4/12/08

Teenagers from New Jersey high schools will be dancing to benefit local, as well as international causes. The Dance-a-thon will benefit the programs and services of the American Red Cross of Central New Jersey and the Measles Initiative, an international partnership created to reduce measles deaths.

Fundraising dancers earn community service hours, enjoy free food and the chance to win prizes. Dance-a-thon is also open to high school students with a $10 Admission Fee at the door.

Music will be provided by disc jockeys from Round The Clock Entertainment.

American Red Cross of Central New Jersey Youth Services integrates young people of all ages into the delivery of Red Cross services. Through involvement with area Red Cross Clubs, students develop leadership skills and an appreciation for giving back to their communities. The Central New Jersey Red Cross Chapter has more than 1,200 Red Cross Club members in high schools throughout Mercer, Middlesex, Hunterdon and Somerset counties. Elected representatives from the various Red Cross Clubs serve on the Youth Council.
