Participants:
Mayor John Bencivengo of Hamilton
Mayor Peter Cantu of Plainsboro
Mayor Chad Groener of Princeton Township
Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh of West Windsor
Mayor Tony Mack of Trenton
Mayor Janice Mironov of East Windsor
Mayors for Meals Day is a component of March for Meals, a national campaign by the Meals on Wheels Association of America. The American Red Cross of Central New Jersey is a participant in this national campaign, which aims to raise awareness of senior hunger and to encourage action on the part of the local community. Senior nutrition programs across the United States promote March for Meals in their local communities through public events, partnerships with local businesses, volunteer recruitment and fundraising initiatives. Mayors and other local officials deliver meals on one day in March to show their support of their local senior nutrition program.
