The day began at the Red Cross, where Kathleen Pearson, regional deputy director, Preparedness and Health and Safety, taught the Longfellow’s WHALE Tales program to Deloitte’s volunteers. The volunteers then broke into small groups and developed lesson plans that included games and props each group would later bring to the classrooms. |
That afternoon, 470 schoolchildren in 22 classes at Wicoff Elementary School in Plainsboro and Slackwood Elementary School in Lawrenceville, had fun learning how they can keep themselves and others safe around pools, lakes and the ocean. |
