Deloitte's IMPACT Day Includes Red Cross Water Safety

	On June 5th, more than 40 employees from Deloitte’s New Jersey offices donated their time to teach first and second graders about water safety using the Red Cross program, Longfellow’s WHALE Tales. The employees were taking part in Deloitte's 10th annual IMPACT Day, their national volunteer service day. The day began at the Red Cross, where Health & Safety Director Kathleen Pearson taught the Longfellow’s WHALE Tales program. The employees then broke into small groups and developed lesson plans that included games and props to be used in 20 classrooms. In the afternoon, nearly 500 schoolchildren at the Maurice Hawk Elementary School in Princeton Junction had fun learning how they can keep themselves and others safe around pools, lakes and the ocean.
