Lay Responder First Aid and CPR/AED Instructor Course
Lay Responder First Aid and CPR/AED: This course teaches instructor candidates how to teach the public the American Red Cross basic level certification for First Aid and CPR/AED for the Lay Responder (includes Adult, Child and Infant CPR). NOTE: FIT (Fundamentals of Instructor Training) is included. NOTE: THIS CLASS DOES NOT INCLUDE A BASIC CERTIFICATION in First Aid and CPR/AED. Participants must be proficient in all basic skills prior to attending the program -- Click here for details. There will be a Pre-Test on Day 1 to evaluate skills and knowledge. Students will be given one chance to pass the basic skills and the written test. All skills will be assessed based on the standards set by the American Red Cross. Anyone who fails the skills portion of the Pre-Test or the written exam will not be allowed to continue through the program. It is recommended that you pick up the student manuals prior to the course. All courses will be held at the American Red Cross of Central NJ’s Training Center located in Princeton. Please Note: Registrations are not valid until payment is received. A purchase order counts as payment but needs to be sent in with the registration form. Enrollment is on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVE BASIS. Courses fill fast; so register quickly! Classes will be cancelled at no cost to the participant if enrollment is low. Registration and payment is required four days prior to the first date of each class.

REFUND POLICY: Participants who fail the Pre-Test will receive all monies back except $75 registration and processing fee. Candidates who fail any portion of the class after the Pre-Test or fail to show up will forfeit the entire course fee. All inquiries should be sent to Kathy Schroeder at schroederk@usa.redcross.org.
