Adapted Aquatics Program

The Red Cross Adapted Aquatics Program teaches people of all ages with disabilities the importance of swimming safety and aims to help each swimmer improve their strength and coordination while having fun in the water. The program is coordinated by dedicated volunteers Pat Sylvester and Judy Hasall who lead a team of volunteers that assist each swimmer. The program is also made possible by the gracious donation of the swimming facilities each week by the Hamilton Township School District.

The Adapted Aquatics Program had its year-end swim race on Friday, June 2, 2009. Dozens participated in the races, all different ages and skill levels. Parents, friends, coaches, timers and volunteers cheered on all the participants. They not only cheered to motivate the swimmers, but to show their pride in everything these amazing swimmers have accomplished. The Program will resume fall 2009.
